Singer/songwriter BILLY BRAGG recorded his new album in just five days during "whirlwind" studio sessions.

The star is preparing to release Tooth & Nail in March (13), and he has recorded a special video message for fans to tell them about his new music.

In the clip, posted on, he says, "Keep your eye on my website and Facebook for secret sneak previews, other track releases, and lots and lots of other goodies. Hopefully me and the guys will see you out on the road somewhere later this year."

The accompanying post on reveals, "Tooth & Nail was recorded over a whirlwind five-day session with Grammy Award winning producer Joe Henry (whose impeccable production credits include Solomon Burke, Aimee Mann, Elvis Costello and Allen Toussaint) in his South Pasadena studio.

"Working with a small band of musicians whose talents had recently appeared on records by the likes of Bon Iver, Lana del Rey and Regina Spektor, the performances have a wonderfully spontaneous feel."

Bragg adds, "In 2011, I took a long, hard look at who I am and what I do. This album is the result."
